NCERT National Talent Search Examination for students studying in class 10 will be conducted on November 2016. The NTSE Exam is conducted every year at 2 levels. State level and National Level.

State Level NTSE 2016-2017 will be conducted on November, 2016. NTSE Exam 2017 in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Island will be held on Novemeber 5th, 2016. NTSE Examination in Bihar and West Bengal will be held on November 6th, 2016 and Other States and Union Territories will be held on November 13th, 2016.

NTSE 2017 Exam Stage 2 (National Level) will be held on May 14th, 2017.

Eligibility for NTSE 2016-17 Exam:

Students who are studying in Class X during this academic year in any Government/ Aided/ Recognised schools/ Kendriya Vidyalaya/ Navodaya Vidyalaya are eligible to apply for the State-level NTS Examination.

How to apply for NTSE 2016-2017 Exam

NTSE Exam 2017 Submission of Application Form :

The completed application form should be signed by the Principal of the school much before the last date of submission. Different state may have different last date for submission. Please confirm from the Liaison Officer of your state, the address at which the completed forms are to be submitted. The address and contact number of the Liaison officer of the states/UTs are available in the NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in.

NTSE 2016-17 Exam Syllabus : Procedure of the Test

The test will be conducted in 3 Parts.

Part I : Mental Ability Test (MAT) - 50 Questions (45 Minutes)
Part 11 : Language Test (LT) English/Hindi : 50 Questions and 50 marks (45 Minutes)
Part III : Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) comprises of 100 objective type questions from Social science, Science subjects and Mathematics. (90 Minutes)
