Kerala Government has fixed the rates for Covid 19 treatments in private hospitals. This Corona treatment cost include all most all the charges of Covid 19 related diagnostics and treatments from the registration and consulting of doctor's charge to post discharge diagnostic Many of the hospitals was charging very high amount for the treatments and diagnostics testing that are not affordable for most of the Corona patients. The Government decision to cut down and fixing of this treatment rates is a high releaf for the ordinary people who suffer a high risk in this Covid 19 pandemic.

Covid 19 treatment and diagnostic rates in Private hospitals fixed by the Kerala Government and the order issued by issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Kerala. The cost of RTPCR test and PPE kits are not included in the fixed charges but the order states that the rates of PPE kits or any high cost medicines should not be charged more than the MRP rates.
The order of the Corona treatment has also states that all the hospitals should publish the rates of various treatments, doctors and nursing charges and other treatment related components. These rates should be visible to the public.

Registration fee, bed charges, nursing and boarding charges, surgons, anaesthetists, medical practitioner consultant charges, anaesthesia blood transfusion, oxygen, pathology, radiology tests, radiological imaging, x-ray, diagnostic tests USG, hematology etc.
The specified treatment rate exluded with
High cost testing CT Chest, PPE Kit and the high cost medicine like Remdesivir and Tocilizumab
Any type of overcharging on these fixed rates should be penalized at 10 times extra cost extracted from the patients.
